Youth Workshops

Anti-Racism Training for Professionals
This hands-on workshop will help participants identify sources of prejudice and discrimination, and provide useful tools and strategies to help foster dialogue and promote safer and more inclusive workplaces and communities. We will discuss the bystander effect, how to recognize and challenge unconscious biases, and tips for addressing sensitive topics in a constructive manner.

This workshop aims to create awareness and empower individuals and organizations to combat racism within their professional environments. We will explore the laws governing discrimination in the workplace, including the rights and legal obligations of both workers and employers. We will examine real-life scenarios in order to better recognize the opportunities and challenges for promoting inclusive and equitable workplaces.

By exploring the legal boundaries between hate speech and freedom of expression, this workshop aims to deepen participants’ understanding of civil liberties, ethics, and responsible communication under Canadian law. Understanding the Bystander Effect can help explain why individuals often hesitate to intervene or speak out against discrimination. We will discuss the impacts of this phenomenon and how to effectively and safely respond to instances of unfair treatment, including discrimination and bullying. This workshop aims to empower participants to play a more active role in promoting a compassionate and equitable community.
